Our artisans carefully introduced sea buckthorn seed oil into the formulas of the Sea Buckthorn L'or Orange® cosmetic range, presenting it in its purest form as the flagship product! This oil is rich in flavonoids, beta-carotenes, and vitamin E, working together to protect the skin against the damage caused by free radicals and UV rays, thus preventing the formation of pigmentation spots.
Its impact is crucial in reducing brown spots. Daily application of this oil inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, responsible for melanocyte production, the pigment-producing cells in the skin. These antioxidant properties help to brighten the skin, reduce the appearance of brown spots, and enhance its radiance. By harmonizing skin color and evening out the complexion, it combats skin aging, wrinkles, and imperfections.

It should be noted that sea buckthorn seed oil is significantly more expensive than oil extracted from the fruit because its production requires a considerable quantity of seeds. Moreover, sea buckthorn seed oil obtained by supercritical CO2 extraction does not color the skin; on the contrary, it improves complexion. In contrast, it is the oil extracted from the fruit that can stain the skin when used pure. This is why we incorporate it into our formulations (creams, cleansers, exfoliants, etc.) rather than offering it in its pure state, unlike sea buckthorn seed oil extracted by supercritical CO2, which can be applied perfectly on its own.
